Whenever a map is filed in the office of the county recording officer of land in a municipality that has an atlas, or block map, on which is plotted the lots or subdivision of lots of lands, the person filing the map shall file a duplicate of the map, and the recording officer shall indorse on the duplicate the time of recording and filing of the original and deliver the duplicate to the officer of the city having charge of the atlas or block map. This section shall have no application to maps filed by commissioners appointed to assess benefits derived from the construction of sewers, drains or other municipal improvements. Source: 46:23-10.
