§ 45:8B-1 — Declaration relative to practice of marriage and family therapy
New Jersey·Title 45 PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS
1.The practice of marriage and family therapy in the State of New Jersey is hereby declared to affect the public safety and welfare, and to be subject to regulation and control in the public interest in order to protect the public from the unprofessional, improper, unauthorized and unqualified practice of marriage and family therapy, and from unprofessional conduct by persons licensed to practice marriage and family therapy. This act shall be liberally construed to carry out these objects and purposes. L.1968,c.401,s.1; amended 1995,c.366,s.1.
