Any person may practice dentistry as an interne or resident in a public or private licensed hospital or other public or private institution of this State for a period of one year; providing, such person shall furnish proof to the board he can fulfill the requirements demanded in the other sections of this chapter relating to applicants for license to practice dentistry; but no such person shall be permitted to so engage in the practice of dentistry unless and until he obtains a certificate in writing from the board, which certificate shall be at all times publicly exhibited in the public or private licensed hospital or other public or private institution to which such person is attached as an interne or resident.
