8. Each person applying for certification as a certified interior designer shall make application therefor to the board on the form and in the manner the committee prescribes, and the board shall immediately refer each application to the committee for appropriate action. Each applicant shall furnish evidence satisfactory to the committee that the applicant: a. Is of good moral character; b.

(1)Is a graduate of a five-year interior design program accredited by the Foundation for Interior Design Education Research or a substantially equivalent program approved by the committee and has completed at least one year of diversified interior design services experience of a grade and character satisfactory to the committee; or (2) Is a graduate of a four-year interior design program accredited by
