14.The provisions of P.L.2019, c.260 (C.45:16A-29 et al.)shall not apply to a single-family homeowner who performs hearth professional work on the person's own dwelling. Nothing in P.L.1968, c.362 (C.45:14C-1 et seq.) or P.L.2007, c.211 (C.45:16A-1 et seq.) shall be construed to prevent licensed electrical contractors from engaging in the installation, maintenance, and repair of natural or manufactured gas piping while installing or repairing electric generators, provided they have demonstrated as a part of licensure continuing education in the installation of gas piping relevant to installing or repairing electric generators.
