Text

The assistance to be extended under this act shall be known as "assistance for the blind," but shall in all other respects be governed by the conditions of eligibility and all other requirements, conditions, limitations and procedures established by and pursuant to chapter 7 of Title 44 of the Revised Statutes, excepting section 44:7-3, subsection a. of section 44:7-5, sections 44:7-14 to 44:7-16 inclusive, and section 44:7-25 of the Revised Statutes. Assistance for the blind shall not be granted to any person who is an inmate or resident of or in need of prolonged care in any public or private institution because of physical or mental condition, or other cause, unless (1) the institution, if publicly owned and operated, is a medical institution, other than an institution for tuberculosis
