Whenever the terms "overseer of the poor," "overseer," "deputy overseer of the poor," and "deputy overseer," occur or any reference is made to any of said terms, in any law, they, and each of them, shall be deemed to mean or refer to the municipal director of welfare appointed pursuant to the provisions of chapter one hundred thirty of the laws of one thousand nine hundred and forty. L.1946, c. 110, p. 341, s. 2.
