Old age assistance shall be granted under this chapter to any person who: a. Has attained the age of 65 years; b. Lacks adequate support; is unable to support himself; is without parents, spouse, or children able to support him and without other persons able and willing to support him; c. Is a resident of this State; d. Is not involuntarily confined in any public or private institution other than a medical institution; e. Has not made a voluntary assignment or transfer of property for the purpose of qualifying for such assistance or for the purpose of evading responsibility under section 44:7-14 of this Title; f. Is found, after due investigation and determination as hereinafter provided, to be in need of assistance. Amended by L.1938, c. 361, p. 901, s. 2, eff. July 1, 1938; L.1942, c. 17
