§ 43:15A-134 — Appointment of retirement system member to Judiciary; options

New Jersey·Title 43 PENSIONS AND RETIREMENT AND UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION
50.
a.As stipulated in subsections b., c. and d. of this section, eligibility of a member of the Judiciary for the retirement benefits of the retirement system shall not be terminated on account of his being appointed to the Supreme or Superior Courts of New Jersey until such judge shall become eligible for the benefits of the pension plan established for such members of the Judiciary, but in no event shall any judge, his dependent or his beneficiary be eligible to receive both the benefits of the retirement system established by chapter 84 of the laws of 1954 and those provided by the pension plan established for such members of the Judiciary.
b.Any such judge shall, upon his request, receive a refund of his accumulated deductions as of the date of his appointment to the Supreme or Supe
