Text

Any public employee who is at least 70 years of age and who has served as a member of the General Assembly and as a county prosecutor and as an elected or appointed official of a city and which several services in the aggregate have been for upwards of 36 years and who shall be retired, upon application therefor, shall receive a pension for the remainder of his life from his last employer of not less than 3/4 of the salary which said employee was receiving at the time of his retirement. If, after his retirement and receipt of said pension, the said employee shall die leaving him surviving a widow, his said widow shall receive a widow's pension for the remainder of her life, equal to 1/2 of the salary which the said employee was receiving at the time of his retirement.
