§ 40:78-5 — Salaries of assessor and collector
New Jersey·Title 40 MUNICIPALITIES AND COUNTIES
The governing body of the village may by ordinance fix the salaries of the village assessor and village collector, which shall not be increased or diminished during their respective terms of office.
