§ 40:76-21 — Ballot; number, form and content

New Jersey·Title 40 MUNICIPALITIES AND COUNTIES
The municipal clerk shall provide ballots for each voter at such special election, to be printed on plain, substantial, white paper. The number of ballots to be provided by the clerk for each voting district in the municipality shall be at least fifteen per cent more than the total number of persons that voted in such district at the last preceding general election. The ballot shall be in substantially the following form: "To vote upon the public question printed below, if in favor thereof mark a cross (X) or plus (+) in the square at the left of the word YES, and if opposed thereto mark a cross (X) or plus (+) in the square at the left of the word NO.
