Text
Notwithstanding the improvement of any street as a pedestrian mall or incident to a special improvement district, the municipality and its governing body shall retain its police powers and other rights and powers relating to the street or part thereof constituting the pedestrian mall or included in a special improvement district, and no such action shall be interpreted or construed to be a vacation, in whole or in part, of any municipal street or part thereof, it being intended that the establishment of a pedestrian mall or special improvement district pursuant to this act, as the case may be, is a matter of a regulation only. This act shall not prevent the governing body of any municipality, at any time subsequent to the adoption of a pedestrian mall or special improvement district ordina
