§ 40:37D-2 — Findings, declarations

2. The Legislature finds and declares that: a. There is a need to establish, construct and develop regional food processing and distribution centers in the various counties of the State; and b. These regional centers will stimulate additional economic development in the State by assisting businesses and generating new jobs; and c. These centers are expected to provide substantial benefits to the fishing industry in the State and to enhance the extensive farming industry, especially in southern and central New Jersey, by providing the means to meet the rapidly growing demands for food in these areas.
