Text

The commissioners first elected shall hold office for the term of 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 years respectively, as indicated and fixed by the board of chosen freeholders. All commissioners thereafter elected shall serve for the term of 5 years and all vacancies shall be filled by the board of chosen freeholders for the unexpired term only. The members of the commission shall serve without compensation but their necessary expenses shall be allowed and paid from funds of the commission by the county treasurer upon warrants signed by the president or vice-president and secretary. In counties now having a county park commission under the provisions of the act of which this act is amendatory and consisting of 5 members, the additional 4 members to be appointed under this amendatory act shall hold office
