§ 40:37-195 — Counties governed hereby; referendum; exception
New Jersey·Title 40 MUNICIPALITIES AND COUNTIES
The provisions of sections 40:37-195 to 40:37-247 of this title shall apply to counties having a population of less than two hundred thousand and more than one hundred seventy-five thousand inhabitants, but shall remain inoperative in any such county until submitted to and approved by the voters thereof in the manner hereinafter in sections 40:37-242 to 40:37-245 of this title provided. This section shall not require the submission of the question of the adoption of said sections 40:37-195 to 40:37-247 in counties which have heretofore adopted the provisions of an act entitled "An act to establish public parks in certain counties in this state and to regulate the same," passed April first, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six.
