40:37-156a. Any member or officer of any such police force or police department not operating under the provisions of subtitle three of Title 11 of the Revised Statutes who has been convicted of any violation of any of the rules or regulations of such department by the official or board empowered to try members of such police department may obtain a review of such conviction in the Superior Court. Such review shall be obtained by giving written notice of an application for review to the officer or board convicting the member of such department within ten days after notice of such conviction is given to the member convicted.
