The state house commission is authorized to maintain the state exhibition building which was erected as provided in the act entitled "An act to provide for the erection and maintenance of a state exhibition building for the display and exhibit of the educational features, and the institutional, agricultural and horticultural products of the state, and making an appropriation therefor," approved March tenth, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one (L.1921, c. 40, p. 67). Such building and the land on which it is situated shall be held in the name of the state by the state house commission or its successors in office and shall be used for the purposes enumerated in the title of said act.
