6.
a.Whenever a private inspection facility licensee conducts an initial inspection, the private inspection facility shall either reject the vehicle or certify that the vehicle was inspected pursuant to chapter 8 of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes and was found to conform to the standards established by law and regulation. When a vehicle is reinspected, the private inspection facility licensee shall either reject the vehicle or certify that the items for which a vehicle was initially rejected conform to the standards established by law and regulation. The certification shall be evidenced by a private inspection certificate of approval placed on the vehicle as prescribed by the director.
