Text

A person who affixes a private inspection approval sticker to a motor vehicle without having reinspected the specific item for which the vehicle was initially rejected, or without having determined that the condition of the item conforms to standards established by law or regulation, shall be guilty of violating the provisions of this chapter, and shall be fined not less than $1,000.00 or more than $1,500.00 and shall have the license suspended for a period of at least one year but not more than three years for a first offense or not less than $2,000.00 or more than $3,500.00 and shall have the license permanently revoked for a subsequent offense.
