38A:23-11. The commissioner shall conduct, or contract with another entity to conduct, a series of follow-up studies to assess the well-being of all former residents of State veterans' memorial homes who have made a transition into the community after the effective date of this act, N.J.S.38A:21-1 et al., as a result of implementation of a plan to close a State veterans' memorial home and also an assessment of the well-being of all former residents for each of the five years after the closure. The commissioner shall compile the results of the follow-up studies conducted pursuant to this section and shall include this information in a series of reports that the commissioner shall submit to the Governor, and to the Legislature pursuant to section 2 of P.L.1991, c.164 (C.52:14-19.1).
