§ 38:23C-2 — Definitions

New Jersey·Title 38 MILITIA--SOLDIERS, SAILORS AND MARINES

As used in this act: a. The term "military service" means duty by any person, male or female, in the active military service of the United States and active duty in the military service of the State pursuant to an order of the Governor issued pursuant to law.

b.The term "person" when used herein with reference to the holder of any right alleged to exist against a person in military service, or against a person secondarily liable under such right, shall include individuals, partnerships, corporations, and any other forms of business association.
c.The term "court" as used herein, shall include any State court of competent jurisdiction, whether or not a court of record. L.1979, c. 317, s. 2, eff. Jan. 18, 1980.
