No such commission shall abolish any position or office held by a person mentioned in paragraph one of this act, or change the title of such position, office or employment, or reduce the emoluments thereof for the purpose of terminating the service of such person. L.1944, c. 249, p. 813, s. 2, eff. April 24, 1944.
