25.Except as provided in section 6 of P.L.1983, c.516 (C.34:6A-30), nothing in this act shall be deemed to conflict with or supersede any provision of the "State Uniform Construction Code Act," P.L.1975, c.217 (C.52:27D-119 et seq.) or the code promulgated thereunder or to affect or limit the powers, duties, authorities and responsibilities of the Commissioner of Community Affairs or any enforcing agency thereunder. Except as provided in section 6 of P.L.1983, c.516 (C.34:6A-30), nothing in this act shall be deemed to conflict with or supersede any provision of the "Uniform Fire Safety Act," P.L.1983, c.383 (C.52:27D-192 et al.), or the code promulgated thereunder, nor affect or limit the powers, duties, authorities and responsibilities of the Commissioner of Community Affairs or any enfo

Whenever an action taken to comply with the provisions of this act makes it necessary for a property owner or employer to obtain a permit pursuant to the State uniform construction code, the owner or employer shall obtain the permit from the enforcing agency having jurisdiction. The commissioner shall inform any owner or employer who is required to take an action to be in compliance that it is the responsibility of the owner or employer to contact the agency having jurisdiction to determine whether a permit is required and to obtain any required permit.
