38. a.

(1)There is established the Food Desert Relief Program to be administered by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority. The program shall include tax credit components, as provided in sections 39 and 40 of P.L.2020, c.156 (C.34:1B-307 and 34:1B-308), in order to incentivize businesses to establish and retain new supermarkets and grocery stores in food desert communities.
(2)The total value of tax credits approved by the authority pursuant to sections 39 and 40 of P.L.2020, c.156 (C.34:1B-307 and 34:1B-308) shall not exceed the limitations set forth in section 98 of P.L.2020, c.156 (C.34:1B-362). b.
