a.The New Jersey Commerce Commission created by P.L.1998, c.44 (C.52:27C-61 et al.) as a body corporate and politic and allocated in, but not of, the Department of the Treasury, is abolished and all of its functions, powers, and duties, except as otherwise provided in this act, are continued and transferred to the Division of Business Assistance, Marketing, and International Trade in the New Jersey Economic Development Authority.
b.The functions, powers, and duties of the New Jersey Commerce Commission not specifically allocated under this act are continued and are transferred to the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, to be allocated within the authority as determined by the authority board.
