3. The Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development is directed to establish and implement within 120 days of the effective date of this act a program to be administered by the division to defray the public transportation or paratransit expenses of citizens with disabilities enrolled in sheltered (extended) employment programs at sheltered workshops. The program may provide for the defraying of these expenses by the purchase of bus cards or other appropriate methods as prescribed by the commissioner. L.1987, c.455, s.3; amended 2017, c.131, s.145.
