§ 34:13A-30 — Employment with public employee labor organizations, certain; prohibited.

1. During the period in which an individual, pursuant to section 504 of Pub.L.86-257 (29 U.S.C.s.504), is prohibited from serving: as a consultant or adviser to any labor organization; as an officer, director, trustee, member of any executive board or similar governing body, business agent, manager, organizer, employee or representative in any capacity of any labor organization; as a labor relations consultant or adviser to a person engaged in an industry or activity affecting commerce, or as an officer, director, agent or employee of any group or association of employers dealing with any labor organization, or in a position having specific collective bargaining authority or direct responsibility in the area of labor-management relations in any corporation or association engaged in an industry or activity affecting commerce; in a position which permits the individual to receive a share of the proceeds from providing goods or services to any labor organization, or as an officer, executive or administrative employee of any entity, the activities of which are in whole or substantial part devoted to providing goods or services to any labor organization; or in any capacity involving decision-making authority over, or custody or control of, the moneys, funds, assets or property of a labor organization, the individual shall also be prohibited from serving: (a) As a consultant or adviser to any organization representing public employees; (b) As an officer, director, trustee, member of any governing body, business agent, manager, organizer, employee or representative in any capacity of any organization representing public employees; (c) As a labor relations consultant or adviser to any public employer, or as an officer, director, agent or employee of any group or association of public employers, or in a position in which the individual has collective bargaining authority or responsibility in the area of labor-management relations for a public employer; (d) In a position which permits the individual to receive a share of the proceeds from providing goods or services to any organization representing public employees, or as an officer, executive or administrative employee of any entity the activities of which are in whole or substantial part devoted to providing goods or services to any organization representing public employees; or (e) In any capacity involving decision-making authority over, or custody or control of, the moneys, funds, assets or property of an organization representing public employees. For the purposes of this section, "labor organization" means a labor organization as defined in section 3 of Pub.L.86-257 (29 U.S.C. s.402). L.1999,c.3,s.1.
