Text
The administrator and head of the division shall be a director who shall be known as the Director of the Division of Developmental Disabilities. The director shall be a person qualified by training and experience to perform the duties of the office and shall devote his entire time to the performance of those duties. The director shall be appointed by the commissioner. The commissioner shall appoint and remove officers and employees of the division subject to the provisions of Title 11 of the Revised Statutes and other applicable statutes as are necessary to enable the division to perform its duties pursuant to this act and he shall fix their compensation within the limits of available appropriations and as is provided by law.
