a.No person confined in a correctional or juvenile facility or involuntarily committed who is required to register under the provisions of P.L.1994, c.133 (C.2C:7-1 et seq.) shall be released from that confinement prior to expiration of sentence or termination from supervision or of custody, as the case may be, until the address set forth on his form of registration as his proposed place of residence has been verified as valid in accordance with procedures established by the Attorney General, which shall include provisions governing written notification of appropriate State and local officials.
