Text

The proceeds of the sale under section 2A:44-167 of this title shall be applied: a. To the payment of the reasonable and necessary expenses of such sale, and next b. To the payment of the unpaid rent for which the rentor has a lien, and next c. To the payment of liens or encumbrances which are subordinate to the lien of the rentor in the order of their priority. The balance if any shall be paid to the rentee, or the whole balance if any may be paid into the superior court. L.1951 (1st SS), c.344.
