§ 2A:36-4 — Defense of retaking on fresh pursuit in action of escape
New Jersey·Title 2A ADMINISTRATION OF CIVIL AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE
In an action for an escape against a sheriff or other officer no retaking on fresh pursuit shall be a defense unless the sheriff, or other officer shall show that the person for whose escape the action is brought escaped without his consent or knowledge. L.1951 (1st SS), c.344.
