16.The commissioner is authorized to enter into agreements with the Secretary of Transportation of the United States, as provided pursuant to Title 23 of the United States Code relating to the control of signs, and to take action in the name of the State to comply with the terms of agreements. The commissioner is authorized to receive and expend federal or State funds in furtherance of these agreements. L.1991,c.413,s.16.
