4.
a.No person may operate an adult family care home unless the person is licensed as an adult family care caregiver in accordance with this act. A person may not be licensed as an adult family care caregiver unless that person owns or rents the home that is to be utilized as an adult family care home, resides in that home on a full-time basis and has resided in the municipality in which the adult family care home is located for one year prior to the granting of an initial license.
b.Application for licensure as an adult family care caregiver shall be made upon forms prescribed by the department.
