Text
The public policy of this State is to safeguard the health and well-being of the citizens of this State with reference to the use of blood in the treatment of many human diseases, as well as its use in treatment of injuries as a result of casualties or disasters. Use of blood in this manner has increased to such proportions that, in the public interest there is need for establishing minimum standards for the control and licensing of the activities of "blood banks." L.1963, c. 33, s. 1.
