19.Any governmental entity that incurs costs resulting from a qualified terminally ill patient choosing to self-administer medication prescribed pursuant to P.L.2019, c.59 (C.26:16-1 et al.) in a public place has a claim against the estate of the patient to recover those costs and reasonable attorneys' fees related to enforcing the claim. L.2019, c.59, s.19.
