§ 26:6-49 — Amount; recovery

New Jersey·Title 26 HEALTH AND VITAL STATISTICS
Except as otherwise specifically provided in this chapter, any person violating any provision of this chapter, or falsifying any certificate or record established by this chapter, or failing or refusing to perform any duty required by this chapter, shall be subject to a penalty of not less than $50.00 nor more than $100.00 for each offense. Such penalties shall be recovered in a civil action in the name of the State department or local board in any court of competent jurisdiction including the municipal court.
