15.Nothing in P.L.2019, c.59 (C.26:16-1 et al.) shall be construed to: a. authorize a physician or any other person to end a patient's life by lethal injection, active euthanasia, or mercy killing, or any act that constitutes assisted suicide under any law of this State; or b. lower the applicable standard of care to be provided by a health care professional who participates in P.L.2019, c.59 (C.26:16-1 et al.).
