Flour, white bread and rolls which would not otherwise meet the requirements of this act, may be enriched to meet the vitamin and mineral standards hereof by the addition, in the case of flour, of vitamins and harmless and assimilable iron salts; and, in the case of white bread and rolls, by addition to the flour or the dough mix of vitamins and harmless and assimilable iron salts, or by the use of enriched flour, enriched yeast or other enriching ingredients, or by any combination of harmless methods which will produce white bread or rolls in conformity with the requirements of this act. The enrichment ingredients shall be uniformly distributed throughout the flour, white bread or rolls. L.1946, c. 86, p. 298, s. 6.
