§ 20:3-18 — Deposit of estimated compensation

Simultaneously with the filing of the declaration of taking, the condemnor shall deposit the amount of such estimated compensation with the clerk of the court. The amount so deposited shall be not less than the amount offered pursuant to section 6 hereof, and if an award has been made by commissioners hereunder, or a judgment determining compensation has been entered at the time of the filing of such declaration, the amount so deposited shall be not less than the amount of such award or judgment. Any amount so deposited shall not be subject to the fees set forth in N.J.S. 22A:2-20. L.1971, c. 361, s. 18.
