Text
The officer to whom the notification of declination is given shall forthwith, by mail or otherwise, inform at least 5 of the persons who signed the original petition that such nomination has been declined; except that in the case of the nomination of electors of President and Vice-President of the United States by the State committee of a political party he shall inform the committee appointed by the State committee to fill vacancies, or if there be no such committee, the chairman of the State committee. Amended by L.1968, c. 87, s. 2; eff. June 21, 1968.
