55.
a.When the office of county superintendent is vacated through the completion of a current term or for any other reason, the Governor, upon the recommendation of the Commissioner of Education, shall appoint an executive county superintendent of schools pursuant to N.J.S.18A:7-1.
b.When the position of executive county business official is vacated through the completion of a current term or for any other reason, the commissioner shall appoint an executive county business official pursuant to section 53 of P.L.2007, c.63 (C.18A:7-11). L.2007, c.63, s.55.
