§ 18A:66-108. Salary deductions; death benefits

18A:66-108.

a.The board of trustees may, in the manner prescribed by the bylaws of the corporation, assess and collect monthly or semimonthly from each member of the pension fund the amount required to be paid by said member into the fund. All moneys so collected shall be paid to the treasurer of the corporation. The board of trustees may make it a condition of membership that each member sign an order on the treasurer of school moneys, or other disbursing officer, directing the retention from his or her salary or wages of the amount of his or her assessments and the payment of the amount so retained directly to the treasurer of the corporation, and the treasurer of school moneys, or other disbursing officer, shall make such retention and payment, but such right of retention and payment s
