§ 18A:64A-4 — Referendum; how conducted

18A:64A-4. If a proposal for the establishment of a county college is to be submitted to the registered voters of the county, the county clerk shall have published at least 10 days before said general election notice thereof in a newspaper circulating in the county and the county clerk shall have printed or cause to be printed on the official ballot to be used at such general election the following: If you favor the proposition printed below, make a cross (X), plus (+) or check (!) mark in the square opposite the word "Yes." If you are opposed thereto, make a cross (X), plus (+) or check (!) mark in the square opposite the word "No." Yes. Shall a county college be established in ....... pursuant to chapter 64A of Title 18A No. of the New Jersey Statutes? If a county college is to be established in one county, the name of the county, and if it is to be established in more than one county, the names of the counties, should be inserted in the question. In any county in which voting machines are used the question shall be placed upon the official ballots to be used upon the voting machines without the foregoing instructions to the voters and shall be voted upon by the use of such machines without marking as aforesaid. If the question of the establishment of a county college is submitted to the people of the county, that county clerk shall send notice of the results of said election to the commission and the board of chosen freeholders of each of the participating counties.
