5.Any board of chosen freeholders or other legally empowered issuer which has authorized such additional bonds may issue temporary notes in anticipation of the issuance of permanent bonds to the extent permitted by applicable law. L.1971,c.12,s.5; amended 1997, c.360, s.11.
