1.The Legislature finds and declares that: a. Career and technical education programs provide the high-level academic and technical skills needed to prepare students for success in college and the workplace; b. In addition to meeting the State's high school graduation requirements, career and technical education programs provide students with the opportunity to earn industry-recognized credentials and college credits; c. Career and technical education students often have the opportunity to participate in work-based learning experiences and in regional, State, and national skill competitions; and d. Recognizing the achievements of career and technical education students throughout New Jersey will highlight the importance of career and technical education in addressing the demands of busine
