18A:46-5. Each county child study team shall function in consultation with the local boards of education in the county or the local boards of education in the counties served by it in the fields pertaining to: a. identification and diagnosis of children needing special educational services, b. development and approval of public school programs for pupils with disabilities, c. supervision and coordination of public school programs for pupils with disabilities, d. reporting and referral of children with disabilities of such severity as to indicate the necessity of residential placement, medical or psychological treatment, or care, to the appropriate agency for such purpose, e. social case work and psychological evaluation, f. remedial instruction, g. cooperative action with other state and c
