18A:46-1. As used in this chapter, a child with a disability shall mean and include any child who has: an intellectual disability, a visual impairment, an auditory impairment, a communication impairment, a neurological or perceptual impairment, an orthopedic impairment, a chronic illness, an emotional disturbance impairment, multiple disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, a traumatic brain injury, other health impairments, a specific learning disability, or is deaf-blind, or a pre-schooler with a disability. amended 1981, c.415, ss.6,9 (amended 1982, c.100); 1990, c.52, s.55; 2010, c.50, s.13; 2017, c.131, s.34.
