§ 18A:46-29 — County special services school district.

1.The board of chosen freeholders of any county may establish a county special services school district for the education and treatment of children with disabilities, pursuant to N.J.S.18A:46-1, upon its finding that the need for such county special services school district exists. Before making any finding as to the existence of such need, the board shall hold at least one public hearing thereon upon not less than 10 days' notice of the time and place thereof published in a newspaper of general circulation in the county. If the board of freeholders, by resolution, authorizes the establishment of such a school district for the county, schools shall be forthwith established and maintained in the county and shall be known as the "schools for special services in the county of" (here insert t
