18A:64A-9. Appointed members of the board of trustees shall have been residents of the county for a period of four years prior to said appointment, and no elected public official or employee of the county college shall serve as a voting member of the board. The term of office of appointed members, except for the first appointments, shall be for four years. Each member shall serve until his successor shall have been appointed and qualified. Vacancies shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment for the remainder of the unexpired term. Any appointed member may be removed by the board of chosen freeholders of the appointing county for cause upon notice and opportunity to be heard.
